I'm married and blessed with four wonderful children who inspire me every day to live a healthier, more conscious lifestyle.
When did you receive a SEED Grant and how has it impacted your business?
We received our SEED Grant in the Fall of 2023, and it has been a game changer for our company. Prior to receiving the grant, our company faced significant scaling issues, and we struggled to meet the growing demand for our products. The grant provided us with the necessary resources to expand our production capabilities, streamline our operations, and reach a broader audience.
With this support, we have been able to invest in better equipment, increase lead times, and develop new product lines that our customers love. This journey has been transformative, not just for our business but for me personally. Seeing the positive impact our products have on people's lives and knowing that we're contributing to a more sustainable future fills me with immense pride and gratitude.
Balancing the demands of running a business and caring for my family hasn't always been easy, but the support from the SEED Grant has allowed us to thrive. My husband and children have been my biggest cheerleaders, and their unwavering support keeps me motivated every day. I'm excited for what the future holds and remain committed to creating high-quality, plant-based products that make a difference.
What does being nominated for one of our M/WBE awards mean to you?
Being nominated for the Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) award is an honor that fills my heart with immense pride and gratitude. As an entrepreneur, this recognition represents more than just an accolade; it is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and impact I strive to bring to our community every day.
Being an M/WBE award nominee validates the hard work and passion I pour into my business. It signifies that the countless hours spent perfecting our vegan, plant-based body care and candles are making a difference.
As a woman and a minority in the business world, this nomination is particularly meaningful. It reminds me that our contributions matter and that our voices are being heard. It’s about breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations of entrepreneurs who will continue to innovate and uplift our communities.
